Access a Node

The kubectl plugin node-shell can be used to gain access to any node.

  1. Follow the installation instructions.
  2. Find the node you want to access:
$ kubectl get nodes
NAME                                                 STATUS   ROLES           AGE   VERSION
2ec85e62-8927-4496-a65c-md-0-769c4cd45x5f84h-5gxdc   Ready    <none>          45d   v1.24.10
2ec85e62-8927-4496-a65c-sxjs4                        Ready    control-plane   45d   v1.24.10
  1. Use the plugin to execute commands on the node:
$ kubectl node-shell 2ec85e62-8927-4496-a65c-md-0-769c4cd45x5f84h-5gxdc
spawning "nsenter-6mbr7k" on "2ec85e62-8927-4496-a65c-md-0-769c4cd45x5f84h-5gxdc"
If you don't see a command prompt, try pressing enter.
